As our organisation continues to grow, we’re looking for a proactive, organised and detail-focused Quality Advisor to join our Christchurch team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting quality, governance and continuous improvement across a diverse healthcare organisation while working closely with operational leaders to improve practices. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role This is a varied and rewarding role that sits at the heart of Phoenix Healthcare Group working across multiple healthcare services primarily in our Home and Community division and GP Hubs, but also assisting our Australian division as needed. You will coordinate data and information into the organisation's quality management processes, ensuring incidents, complaints, audits, policies, accreditation activities and continuous improvement initiatives are running efficiently and consistently. You will also look for trends and advise on recommendations and actions to managers. While this position has no direct reports, we envisage that this role could suit someone looking for 0.8FTE (32hrs) or up to 1 FTE (40hrs). We are seeking an experienced Quality Advisor with a strong understanding of the New Zealand health and disability sector, including the Health and Disability Commissioner (HDC) Code of Rights and quality improvement principles. This role could also suit an experienced Quality Coordinator looking for a step up. You will provide expert advice and guidance to managers on incident management, support timely and effective investigations, and ensure incidents are managed in accordance with organisational policies and best practice. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will identify trends, recommend quality improvement initiatives, and help strengthen systems and processes to support continuous improvement, enhance consumer outcomes, and ensure our services consistently meet HDC expectations and other relevant healthcare quality standards. Working within our LogicQ (quality management system), you'll ensure organisational quality activities are in place in both systems and advisory capacity to ensure workflows are monitored, the quality register is maintained by tracking corrective actions and support managers to ensure quality and governance processes are completed within agreed timeframes. Key Responsibilities You will coordinate a broad range of quality activities, including: Coordinating incidents, hazards/risks and near-miss reporting through LogicQ Co-ordinating complaints, compliments and feedback Monitoring customer service enquiries and response timeframes Maintaining organisational quality registers and supportng managers with collation of information as needed Monitoring corrective actions and following up any outstanding actions Preparing quality and governance update reporting Coordinating policy, procedure and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) reviews Maintaining document control and version management Coordinating advising with audit preparation and accreditation activities such as supporting Foundation Standards, Cornerstone and Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard readiness Coordinating continuous quality improvement initiatives Assisting with organisational quality communications and staff updates (assist with communications strategy) Monitoring governance and compliance timeframes across the organisation as directed This is a advisory and coordination role that supports managers by ensuring quality systems operate efficiently while managers retain responsibility for investigations, operational decisions and risk ownership. About You You're someone who enjoys bringing structure, organisation and continuous improvement to your work. You thrive on keeping things organised, analysing information, improving processes and ensuring important work is completed accurately and on time. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: String Experience in a Quality, Governance, Compliance or Healthcare Administration roles Experience coordinating incidents, complaints, audits or quality systems Experience using a Quality Management System (QMS) such as LogicQ A sound understanding of the Health and Disability Commissioner (HDC) Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights An understanding of Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard , Foundation Standards, Cornerstone or other healthcare quality frameworks Knowledge of quality improvement and continuous improvement principles Excellent organisational and time management skills Outstanding written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong Microsoft Office skills The ability to analyse data, identify trends and prepare meaningful reports A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach A commitment to culturally safe practice, health equity and delivering services that uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Highly Desirable Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous: Primary Care, Home and Community Services, Occupational Health or government healthcare services Internal auditing and accreditation preparation Health Quality & Safety Commission (HQSC) quality improvement methodologies Excellent understanding of the Privacy Act 2020 and Health Information Privacy Code 2020 Policy development and document control Governance reporting and dashboard preparation Risk management and corrective action monitoring Continuous quality improvement projects Why Join Phoenix Healthcare?
