Job Description

The Foundation Village Partnership - Parnell, North Island An opportunity to join The Foundation in Parnell, where considered design, refined service and attention to detail shape daily life for a discerning resident community. Located within the newly opened Abbott Residences of The Foundation, the boutique Awhina Care Suites will provide a discreet and highly personalised care environment, exclusive to residents of The Foundation. About the Role This bespoke care environment, will offer Registered Nurse-led support for residents requiring respite, rest home, hospital-level, palliative and memory care for low to moderate dementia. It will also support The Foundation's continuum of care proposition extending to in-apartment care services. We are seeking exceptional Registered Nurses who combine clinical excellence with genuine warmth and compassion with a full-time and a part-time position available. You will listen with empathy, see the person before the task, and create confidence and reassurance for residents, families and colleagues. In this role, you will assess residents, develop and review personalised care plans, take a hands-on approach to care plan implementation, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation that supports continuity and high-quality outcomes. You will work closely with visiting clinicians and the wider team to support safe, responsive care, while contributing to the establishment of Awhina Suites with a practical focus on quality, service and resident experience. You will also participate in a shared on-call roster when required. About You You are an open-hearted Registered Nurse who understands that exceptional care is about more than clinical expertise. You bring warmth to every interaction, take the time to know each resident as an individual, and approach your work with empathy, respect, and generosity of spirit. Rather than being process-driven, you are guided by what is right for the resident while maintaining high professional standards. New Zealand Registered Nurse registration with a current Annual Practising Certificate. At least 2 years' post-graduate experience, preferably within aged care. Strong clinical assessment, observation, critical thinking and documentation skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and escape appropriately. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to engage respectfully and professionally with residents, families, colleagues and external health professionals. A genuine commitment to resident-centred care, professional standards, service excellence and continuous improvement. We value and are seeking a Registered Nurse who naturally connects with people, communicates with honesty and empathy, and creates an environment where residents feel safe, respected and genuinely known. Applicants must have the current right to work in New Zealand. About Generus Living The Foundation is part of the Generus Living Collection. Generus is a privately owned New Zealand company with a reputation for developing and operating exceptional later-living communities for the discerning senior market, with established communities in Auckland, Mount Maunganui and Christchurch. #J-18808-Ljbffr
