Our Cold Chain department is where finished cartons of meat and carcasses come for chilling or freezing and are then loaded into containers or onto trucks to be sent to hungry consumers in over sixty countries worldwide. Silver Fern Farms Finegand is the cornerstone employer in the Clutha district and we’re looking to add enthusiastic team members to our Cold Chain team. This department absolutely buzzes with forklifts going, containers moving, and trucks and trains in and out. While all that’s happening, we’ve got team members stacking, racking and cracking up! The Cold Chain crew are a close-knit team who have a lot of fun doing some heavy mahi, but they love it, and they’re keen to get more good people involved! They’d especially love to see you if you are, or were recently, a licenced forklift driver as those skills are the heartbeat of the department and NZ forklift drivers are waaaaay better!! We offer great wages, up to 11 month’s work (a month to chill and rest up), awesome staff sales (think BBQs in summer!) and the opportunity to grow a career if you’re keen to progress.
