Job Description
Kiwi Pollen is a specialist pollination agritech based in Te Puke. As we gear up for the busy season, we’re looking for a proactive and versatile Operations Support team member to help keep things running smoothly across both office and operational areas. This is a fixed-term position from August to mid-December, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right person. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our operations run efficiently, from handling customer enquiries and managing seasonal staff onboarding, to maintaining inventory and supporting pollen processing in our mill. The role is dynamic and varied, offering a mix of administrative and hands‑on work. Managing enquiries on the phone, in person and via emails. Recruit and onboard seasonal staff, including advertising, calling candidates, conducting interviews, and sending contracts. Data entry and management using multiple IT systems such as Excel and Dataphyll. Communicate with seasonal staff, especially around onboarding and rostering. Process product orders, including packing and shipping. Support Kiwi Pollen’s marketing campaigns and customer communications. Liaising with customers about our range of pollination products. Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). General small business support - widely varied and interesting tasks, to fill the gaps in our tightly knit team. Organising and managing a constantly evolving product inventory. Packaging and labelling of pollen. Liaising with customers about our range of pollination products. Outcomes of the Role Accurate and timely maintenance of pollen inventory system. Effective communication with seasonal staff, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout their time with Kiwi Pollen. Go above and beyond, partnering alongside team members to improve overall business processes. Maintain the positioning and reputation of the business by focusing on customer service. Customers and business partners are always delighted to hear from us and are actively seeking to be in communication with us. Skills & Experience Proven ability with time management and organisation Excellent communication and diplomacy skills with diverse team members Technology-minded, competent with MS Office Suite, especially Excel Logistics intelligence and problem‑solving ability Previous experience in the kiwifruit industry is preferred Sense of humour, happy and outgoing Timings June to late October: 5 days per week (9am-5pm) Late October - End of November (flower picking season): maximum of 6 days per week (between 9am-9pm) Why Join Kiwi Pollen?
