About the Role As a Clinical Nurse Educator Community Services, you will play a key role in developing, delivering, and evaluating education and training programmes that support high - quality, evidence - based care across community services. Youll work closely with clinical teams to build capability, support workforce development, and ensure staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver safe, effective care. This is a varied and influential role where youll balance education delivery with leadership and service improvement. Youll support onboarding, develop learning programmes, coach and mentor staff, and lead initiatives that enhance clinical practice. Working across services such as District Nursing, Wound Care, Continence, and related teams, youll help drive innovation and strengthen care delivery across the community setting. About the Team/Service/ Location The Professional Development Unit (PDU) brings together education and workforce development functions to support clinical excellence across the organisation. Based at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital, this role works closely with community services and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality education and training. About you As a Nurse Educator, you will bring: Current NZ Nursing Council registration with a valid practising certificate At least 5 years recent community nursing experience Postgraduate qualification (or working towards) and education / teaching capability Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving equitable health outcomes Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
