Landscaping Team Manager

Green Fox Wanaka Ltd – Queenstown, South Island Description:This is a full-time, year-round position. The Landscaping Team Manager is responsible for landscaping operations at different sites around Queenstown, with particular emphasis on encouraging safe working practices with regard to fellow workers and members of the public. The Landscaping Manager is responsible for performing and supervising a variety of work tasks in order to assist with the completion of landscaping construction projects. The Landscaping Manager will be required to supervise and operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out job tasks. As a Manager, this person is expected to have a good level of landscaping and building knowledge and experience, and can provide and or support the training of staff as required. Any Industry aligned qualifications would also be advantageous to the overall upskilling of your team. The Landscaping manager must create and maintain a positive team environment. A manager is responsible for Health and Safety on their work sites, and should: Adhere to all training requirements Be responsible for correct use of PPE Ensure health and safety training is up to date and effectively communicates concerns to management Always report accidents, incidents and near misses Any other duties as required commensurate with this position Responsibility:Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Site preparation: Scalping grass, Clearing contaminated soil or gravel, Bring in soil, compost, Gravel etc Hard Landscaping capabilities: Fencing, Decking, Retaining, Paths, Edging, Concrete boxing and preparation. Prepare, Plant and establish garden beds and/or lawns. Ensuring Tools and equipment are Loaded, Transported and maintained correctly. Conduct monthly tool and vehicle audits. Perform as a team player. Safety procedures must be adhered to in accordance with Green Fox Policy and the Health and Safety in Work Act 2015. The employee may be expected to work under conditions in which personal risk may be incurred.
