What You’ll Bring: A valid Second Engineer Certificate (STCW MEC2) or Chief Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency (STCW MEC1) issued by an IMO-recognized authority. Holds a valid Advanced Tanker Endorsement. Must be able to work on New Zealand-flagged vessels , adhering to local and international maritime regulations. Experience with tanker vessels is highly advantageous. Familiarity with maritime regulations, including SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to lead or support a multicultural team effectively. Physical readiness and a commitment to safety in challenging maritime environments. Certificates of Competency or Proficiency must be valid. Must have valid MNZ Medical. Must pass a Drug and Alcohol test and maybe required to undergo a pre-employment medical. Must provide referee names and contacts.
