Thl is the world's leading provider of holiday vehicles for rent and sale, operating under various brands across Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and the UK. Our brands include maui, Apollo, Britz, Mighty rentals, and more. We also design motorhomes through Action Manufacturing and create digital products via thl Digital. We’re looking for a practical, hands-on fixed term full-time RV Technician Trainer, based in Christchurch to support our RV Technician team with day-to-day coaching, onboarding and consistent ways of working. This role is ideal for someone who knows vehicle preparation and repairs inside out, enjoys working alongside others, and takes pride in helping people build confidence, capability and safe work habits. About the role: As our RV Technician Trainer, you’ll provide practical training and support to new and existing team members across vehicle preparation, safe work practices, product use, equipment care, quality standards and efficient processes. You’ll coach people in the moment, demonstrate the right way to complete tasks, support onboarding, and help ensure every vehicle is prepared to a safe, fully functioning and guest-ready standard. What you’ll be doing: Training and coaching RV Technicians on vehicle preparation, quality repairs and safe, efficient work practices. Supporting onboarding through clear demonstrations, guidance and confidence building. Helping team members use products, PPE, equipment, tools, checklists and procedures correctly. Identifying skill gaps and providing practical follow-up coaching and respectful, timely feedback. Sharing training progress, confidence levels and recurring issues with leaders. Assisting with quality checks, staff audits and further training recommendations where needed. Providing operational support during busy periods or Team Leader absence, including work allocation, coaching and day-to-day coordination. Supporting branch operations when needed, including vehicle movements, processing vehicles, stocktakes, linen and equipment removal, and assisting with show throughs. About you: You’ll be a confident, approachable and hands-on technician who enjoys sharing your knowledge and helping others succeed. You’ll bring strong operational experience, a practical approach to problem solving, and the ability to explain tasks clearly and patiently. To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: Strong hands-on RV Technician or similar operational experience. Experience training, buddying or coaching team members on the floor. Good knowledge of safe work practices, chemicals, PPE, manual handling and equipment care. The ability to explain procedures, checklists and quality standards clearly. Strong attention to detail and pride in preparing guest-ready, fully functioning vehicles. A reliable, organised and supportive approach, especially with new or less experienced team members. Confidence using internal systems and supporting others to use them correctly and consistently. You’ll actively champion thl’s Health and Safety system by modelling safe work habits, coaching safe procedures, reporting hazards and incidents, and helping create a safe, organised and positive workplace for the team. This is a great opportunity to step into a role where your technical knowledge makes a real difference. You’ll work closely with the team, support capability on the floor, and help build consistency, confidence and pride across our RV operations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
