About the Role This role will work closely with practice Partner Andy Bell, as well as two of our highly skilled senior team members across a variety of family law and relationship disputes, including the division of assets, contracting out agreements, complex separations, and contentious trust and estate matters. Our family team works exclusively with private clients, including high-wealth individuals and families, but we also assist with some more sensitive matters, including domestic violence and care of children. This is an opportunity to step-up and gain real on-your-feet time in both a supporting and lead role to develop your advocacy skills. Responsibilities Engage directly with clients and relevant third parties Represent clients in alternative dispute resolution and in Court Support senior team members with preparation for high-stakes appearances, including in the High Court Play an active role in negotiations Research, analyse, and draft high-quality submissions, affidavits, and legal advice with autonomy and initiative Support and mentor junior team members across our national team, developing your own leadership style Manage files end-to-end to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes for clients Contribute positively to team culture and support the firm’s strategic direction Take ownership of your professional development and career progression Qualifications This role is suitable for experienced solicitors, right through to associate-level lawyers looking to make a meaningful change with an outstanding team. You’ll bring 2–5 years’ PQE with some exposure to relationship disputes or family law matters, including Court-based work.
