About the Role Our Child & Adolescent MentalHealth Service (CAMHS) team is currently looking for a skilled and passionatemental health professional to become a great leader for our service. This roleis vital to the mental health of our children and young people across the WestCoast, and you will be supporting them through their journey along with theirwhanau. This role will include working within the community and withinour integrated model of care. There will be opportunities and support forprofessional development and ongoing role development. Responsibilities include: Ensures that all registered staff practice is safe,legal, effective and responsive to the needs of the patients. Develops an environment, which places aresponsibility and authority for decision making at the level closest tothe situation. Understands and practises the principles of qualitymanagement and continuous improvement. Demonstrates effective management of complaints,incidents and hazards as per policies and procedures. Provides client-centred care, utilisingevidence-based treatment strategies including, where appropriate, talkingtherapies Coordinate care at the right time with input fromexternal providers Undertakes all components of case management, includingcomprehensive assessment, risk assessment and management, recovery, andtreatment planning About You Registered with the NZ Nursing Council with thescope to practice within Mental Health with a current Nursing Council ofNZ Practising Certificate. Or Registered Health Professional with currentregistration and scope to work in Mental Health Holds post graduate management or Nursingqualification or working towards this. Minimum of 3 years of post-registration experiencewith recognised clinical experience/expertise A commitment to staff development andresearch-based practice and a commitment to relevant professionaldevelopment. Excellent interpersonal skills includingcommunication, negotiation and conflict resolution across all disciplinesand occupational groups. Understanding of financial management in anoperational area.
