Senior Fabricator/Welder- Structural steel

Allwin Steel Ltd. is seeking up to 4 experienced Senior Fabricator/Welders to join our team in East Tamaki, Auckland. This is a full-time position (minimum 30 hrs/week) that will involve the fabrication and welding of structural steel components for a variety of projects. As a key member of our skilled production team, you will play an integral role in the delivery of high-quality steel structures. Proven factory supervision and weld inspector skills will be advantageous. What you'll be doing Fabricate and weld structural steel components to exacting specifications Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders Operate cutting, grinding, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently Ensure all work meets relevant Australian and New Zealand standards Collaborate with the project management team to deliver projects on time and to budget Mentor and train more junior fabricators and welders Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety protocols What we're looking for Minimum 5 years' experience as a certified fabricator/welder, ideally in the structural steel industry Thorough knowledge of welding techniques and processes, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision Experience operating a range of fabrication equipment, such as saws, grinders, and lifting equipment A passion for delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines A current New Zealand driver's licence Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g. NZQA, ASME) May be advantageous but not essential Immediate start.
