Community Educator and Supervisor

We are seeking applicants with leadership experience, preferably in the health care sector and a passion for working with people, to join our team in the key position of Community Educator and Supervisor. This role focuses on workforce development, support worker mentoring and training, and involves travel around the wider Nelson region. Te Mahi/About the Position This is a full-time permanent position, based predominantly from our Nelson office, working 80 hours per fortnight. Usual hours of work will be Monday to Friday within business hours. Key Aspects: Reporting to our Service Manager and as part of the Leadership team, you will be responsible for: guiding and educating our community support workers the development of the support worker training and competency plan, including NZQA qualifications completion of annual performance appraisals for the support workforce accurate and up-to-date record keeping for all support worker training workplace verification and assessments liaising with clients, support workers and internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and high quality service is provided assisting with recruitment, and orientation of new support workers Working with the Service Manager, the successful applicant will have a great rapport with all clients and staff and will assist with proactive management of any performance issues.
