Job Description

Are you an experienced Learning & Development professional who thrives on turning strategy into action and creating development experiences that genuinely improve organisational capability? This is an opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative People team and play a key role in growing a relatively new Learning & Development and Organisational Development function. With a clear strategy already in place, you'll have the autonomy to translate strategic priorities into practical programmes that build capability, strengthen leadership and enhance the employee experience. Working closely with senior People leaders and key stakeholders, you'll lead the rollout of learning programmes, support the implementation of a new Learning Management System (LMS), and help create a culture where development, performance and growth are a core focus. This role will suit someone who is equally comfortable thinking strategically and delivering operationally. You'll bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, a structured and analytical approach, and the ability to influence and build credibility across a diverse workforce. What you'll be doing Translating an established L&D strategy into practical, organisation-wide learning and capability initiatives Leading the implementation, optimisation and ongoing management of a new Learning Management System (LMS) Designing, coordinating and facilitating learning programmes, workshops and development activities Supporting the delivery of leadership development initiatives aligned to the organisation's leadership framework Creating learning pathways that build workforce capability and support long-term organisational growth Contributing to organisational development, culture and people experience initiatives Supporting workforce planning activities through data gathering, analysis and reporting Using engagement data, learner feedback and people metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement Managing external learning providers, facilitators and programme partners Building strong stakeholder relationships and driving engagement across a diverse workforce Coordinating programme communications, logistics and implementation plans What you’ll bring Experience in Learning & Development, Organisational Development or a related capability-focused role Proven experience designing and delivering learning programmes, workshops and development initiatives Experience implementing, managing or optimising Learning Management Systems Strong facilitation, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills Experience supporting organisational development, culture or change initiatives Strong programme and project coordination capability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Analytical thinking and confidence using data and insights to inform decisions The ability to influence, build credibility with stakeholders at all levels A proactive, structured approach and the confidence to work autonomously A positive attitude, resilience and a genuine passion for helping people grow Why you’ll love it Take ownership of a well-defined strategy and shape how it's delivered across the organisation Join a supportive and highly regarded People team that values collaboration, kindness and genuine partnership Play a pivotal role in building workforce capability, leadership development and employee growth Enjoy a varied and meaningful role with visibility and influence across the wider business Work closely with experienced People leaders who are committed to the success of this function Hybrid working environment with a strong balance of autonomy and support This is an opportunity to make a visible impact in an organisation that is investing in its people and committed to building future capability.
