Tenancy Manager

These values guide how we care for our people, our whenua and future generations. We are looking for an experienced and community-focused Tenancy Manager to join our team. With support from the wider team, you will manage our tenancies, build positive relationships with whānau and help ensure our homes are safe, well maintained and legally compliant. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a hands‑on role covering tenancy management, rent monitoring, property inspections, maintenance and compliance. Manage tenancies from sign‑up through to transfer or termination in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act Support whānau to understand and meet their tenancy responsibilities Respond to tenant enquiries, complaints and tenancy issues Monitor rent payments and work with whānau to manage arrears Carry out entry, exit and quarterly property inspections Coordinate maintenance with the Maintenance Coordinator and contractors Monitor Healthy Homes and tenancy compliance Maintain accurate records in PalaceMRI Support safe, well‑maintained and positive communities Contribute to reporting, projects and service improvements You will be organised, practical and confident working with people from a range of backgrounds. Ideally, you will have: Experience in tenancy, property or community housing management Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and Healthy Homes Standards Experience managing rent arrears and tenancy issues Confidence conducting inspections and coordinating maintenance Strong communication, organisation and recordkeeping skills Experience using tenancy or property management systems A respectful and whānau‑focused approach An understanding of tikanga Māori and alignment with our values #J-18808-Ljbffr
