About the Service Ward A5 is a busy general surgical unit with a focus onelective surgery including colorectal, hepatobiliary and bariatric surgery. Notwo days are the same in this fast-paced team that focuses on peri-operativecare and recovery. Ward A5 is also a Dedicated Education Unit where you'llenjoy being involved in the development of student nurses. About the Role We're looking for a Registered Nurse to join us who ispassionate about surgery and keen to move their career forward. Working in ourlarge multidisciplinary team you can expect to work closely with and learn fromour Surgeons, Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialist, who are focused onadvances in surgical care that improve clinical outcomes. In turn you willbring your exceptional interpersonal skills and organizational skills and willbe a real team player. The service is rostered on a rotating roster Monday toSunday across Morning, Afternoons and Nights. About You You will have effective problem solving and decision-makingskills and a commitment to providing and maintaining high standards of nursingpractice within our service. Acute and electivesurgical experience Must be able to work allshifts - Morning, Afternoon and Nights across Monday to Sunday Excellent Communicationand Interpersonal skills Motivated, with a matureattitude and organised approach, you will be flexible and adaptable inthis ever changing, fast paced environment The ability to workautonomously and effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team A current New Zealandannual practicing certificate is required Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
