The role As a CNC Machine Operator, your main responsibility will be to competently operate multi-axis CNC machines to produce quality products to specification on time and in an efficient manner. The vacant position is for our evening shift, which runs from 4:15 pm to 2:15 am. To succeed in this role, you will need to apply your background and experience in CNC operating to produce a wide variety of products within defined specifications and tolerances in a timely and efficient manner. You will be precise and detailed focused, motivated to produce high quality products yet able to maintain a flexible approach and attitude due to the variety of work. You will need to apply your initiative and experience to get the job done, and work in an open and collaborative way with all stakeholders. Role requirements Operate CNC machines in an efficient manner to quoted job cycle times. Ensure machines or processes are producing a quality product, and the correct frequency of inspections are carried out. Ensure required production levels are maintained by using job instructions. Ensure your allocated machine is running to standard costed cycle times. Inform the Team Leader of any issues that arise during operation. Skills and Experience 3+ years of direct CNC Machine operator experience. Able to interpret advanced technical drawings and models, including GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing). Experience using relevant Quality tools such as verniers, micrometers etc. A good understanding of modern manufacturing processes. Experience in operating CNC machines.
