Aldwins Road Vet Clinic has been caring for Christchurch pets and their people since 1986. Our experienced and compassionate team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, and we take pride in the strong relationships we've built with our local community. From preventative health and surgery to emergency care and puppy preschool, we're passionate about helping pets live happy, healthy lives. We're looking for a Vet Nurse to join our close-knit team on a part-time basis, working 25-30 hours per week, including 1 in 4 Saturdays. About the Role This is a varied, hands-on nursing position where no two days are the same. You'll be involved in all aspects of clinic life, from welcoming clients at reception and running nurse consultations through to surgical nursing and patient care. Our Vet Nurses are highly valued members of the team and are encouraged to work to the full scope of their skills, including: Nurse consultations Patient admissions and discharges Blood collection and laboratory work Anaesthetic monitoring and induction General hospital and patient care Front-of-house and client communication About You We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, team-oriented, and passionate about delivering outstanding care. You’ll ideally have: A Veterinary Nursing qualification At least 1-2 years of clinical vet nursing experience Excellent communication and client relationship abilities A positive, proactive, and can-do attitude The ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment Strong organisational skills and attention to detail A willingness to jump in wherever needed and support your teammates Why Join Aldwins Road Vet Clinic?
