Our client is a highly regarded private surgical provider seeking an accomplished Perioperative Charge Nurse Manager to lead its General, Gynaecology and Plastics (GGP) theatre team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established leadership group and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care while leading an experienced team of approximately 25 Registered Nurses and RN First Surgical Assistants. About the Role Reporting to the Theatre Manager, you will be responsible for the operational and clinical leadership of the GGP service. You'll ensure resources are managed effectively while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture that delivers outstanding clinical outcomes and an exceptional experience for patients, surgeons and the wider multidisciplinary team. About You To be successful, you'll have: Current New Zealand Registered Nurse registration with a valid APC. At least five years' perioperative scrubbing experience in General, Gynaecology and Plastics. Experience with robotic surgery is advantageous. A minimum of three years' leadership experience within an operating theatre in New Zealand or a comparable healthcare system (Australia, UK or Ireland). A postgraduate qualification in perioperative practice and/or management (desirable). A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams. Strong clinical judgement, sound decision-making and a commitment to quality and patient safety. Excellent relationship-building skills with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams.
