Together, we're building strong foundations for lifelong learning and wellbeing. Community Description: Sunshine Kindergarten is nestled at the back of Karori Park and surrounded by beautiful native bush. Sustainability and kaitiakitanga are at the heart of our programme and we make the most of our natural surroundings through regular bush walks that help tamariki develop a sense of respect, responsibility and connection to te taiao. Our whānau come from a rich variety of cultures, languages, and backgrounds, and we are committed to celebrating and responding to the unique identity, strengths, and experiences of every child. Through strong relationships and a genuine sense of belonging, we support tamariki to grow in confidence and build respect for others and the world around them. We are licensed for up to 42 children who attend for six hours each day. You will join a supportive team in a well-resourced kindergarten with an amazing outdoor environment that inspires exploration, discovery, and learning. Work Profile: Full time 40 hours per week Mon to Fri 8:00am to 4:30 pm We are looking for an enthusiastic ECE leader who: Demonstrates a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, helping to grow culturally responsive practice that supports equitable outcomes for all tamariki. Leads collaboratively, building strong relationships and creating a team culture where people communicate openly, work together, and share responsibility. Creates an inclusive environment where every child's culture, language, identity and strengths are recognised, valued and celebrated, in partnership with whānau. Can lead evaluative thinking and practices. Thinks strategically and adaptively, using reflection and evidence to support ongoing improvement and positive outcomes for tamariki, whānau and staff.
