What you will do The role primarily involves assisting with monitoring vegetation plots in forest and wetland habitat across the Auckland Region. Vegetation, bird, herpetofauna, and freshwater surveys. Support ecological assessments and reporting. Contribute to other seasonal monitoring programmes. Restoration implementation (pest plant and pest animal control) What You Will Bring Experience in ecological fieldwork, biodiversity monitoring, or environmental science A strong understanding and knowledge of New Zealand ecosystems and indigenous species. Comfortable working outdoors in varied conditions and travelling for field assignments. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
