Financial Analyst, Dunedin based

Are you a commercially minded senior Financial Analyst who enjoys turning complex data into clear, meaningful insights? Join a purpose- led organisation supporting better health outcomes across Aotearoa New Zealand. In this newly created full- time role, you’ll work closely with the CFO and leadership team to provide financial and operational analysis that supports reporting, forecasting, performance insights, and commercial planning across the South Link Health Group. What You’ll Do Extract, clean, validate, and standardise datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency. Consolidate and analyse complex financial and operational data from multiple systems to support reporting, revenue tracking, and decision- making. Design and implement automated reporting workflows using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Build financial models to support forecasting and business initiatives. Identify trends, risks, issues, and opportunities to inform commercial planning. Prepare clear, timely reporting for the CFO, leadership team, and key stakeholders. Develop and maintain robust documentation for data processes, ensuring transparency and repeatability. Identify opportunities to improve data quality, streamline extraction processes, and enhance automation efficiency. Support project analysis and practical business improvements. What You’ll Bring A business or finance qualification, with 5+ years’ financial analysis experience and strong financial modelling skills. CAANZ membership would be an advantage. Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex datasets. Experience improving reporting through automation, AI, and data- driven solutions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear insights. A reliable, discreet, and collaborative approach, with sound judgement and initiative. Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving how things are done.
