Poly-Emp Employment and Advisory Service - Auckland, North Island PolyEmp Employment and Advisory Service is a not-for-profit Supported Employment Service dedicated to connecting young disabled people with employers who are committed to providing meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities. We work alongside young people and their whānau to identify strengths, set career goals, and develop pathways to employment. At the same time, we partner with local employers to create opportunities that benefit both businesses and job seekers. You may already have experience in disability support, education, youth development, community services, employment support, recruitment, customer engagement, or another people-focused field. What matters most is your ability to build meaningful relationships, see potential in others, and support people to achieve their goals. We can provide training and support to help you develop the specialist skills needed to succeed in supported employment. In This Role You Will As an Employment Consultant, you'll play a key role in helping young disabled people move towards meaningful and sustainable employment. You will: Support young disabled people to explore their strengths, identify employment goals, and develop pathways to work. Build positive relationships with employers and identify employment opportunities across Auckland. Provide workplace support and guidance to both employers and employees to help ensure successful employment outcomes. Work collaboratively with whānau, training providers, schools, tertiary institutions, and government agencies, including WINZ and MSD. Facilitate employment preparation activities, workshops, and career development opportunities. Maintain accurate records, participant plans, and reporting requirements. Champion inclusive employment practices and promote the benefits of a diverse workforce. What You'll Bring We're looking for someone who combines strong people skills with a practical, solutions-focused approach. Ideally, you'll have: Experience in disability support, education, youth work, community development, advocacy, mentoring, employment services, or other people-focused roles. A genuine commitment to empowering disabled people to achieve their employment and career goals. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect effectively with young people, whānau, employers, and community partners. Confidence engaging with employers, building networks, and identifying opportunities for employment and career development. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload independently. A flexible and creative approach to problem-solving, adapting support to meet individual needs. Experience facilitating workshops, presentations, or group activities, or the enthusiasm to develop these skills. A willingness to learn supported employment practices, including job matching, employer engagement, and workplace support.
