Senior Project Manager

Evolve Recruitment Group – Auckland, North Island About the Opportunity A well-established financial services organisation with a strong presence in funds management is looking for a Senior Project Manager. The business is going through a period of change and is focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering high-quality outcomes for investors. Why this role matters This Senior Project Manager is coming in to support on the delivery for a defined slate of investment operations and technology projects, working hand-in-hand with a dedicated Business Analyst rather than through the broader project delivery structure. You'll be accountable for keeping delivery on track operations projects, tooling change, and digital product launches. What you'll lead & influence Plan, run, and report on delivery for a portfolio of investment operations and wealth projects, working closely with the Business Analyst on the same body of work Manage delivery of a migration of products/schemes onto an updated administration platform Drive rollout of a new operational workflow tool Manage delivery of new digital, customer-facing products as part of a broader technology transformation Manage project plans, risks, dependencies, and budgets, escalating and resolving issues as they arise Engage and manage stakeholders, including senior members of the business, to keep delivery aligned and on track Report progress directly to senior leadership What you bring Solid experience as a Project Manager within financial services, ideally funds management, investment operations, or wealth platforms Track record delivering technology and process change projects, ideally including platform, workflow, or digital delivery Comfortable working alongside technology teams on data and platform-driven change - you don't need to be deeply technical, but you're not fazed by tech Strong, senior-level stakeholder management skills, the energy to build relationships fast, and the ability to hit the ground running Experience running delivery outside a formal, centralised structure - comfortable with autonomy and pace Excellent written and verbal communication skills Why you'll love working here Genuine ownership of delivery for a defined body of work, working closely with senior leadership Exposure to end-to-end investment operations change and digital product delivery Fast-paced, purpose-driven work with meaningful outcomes for investors Collaborative, nimble team environment What next? 6-month contract, Auckland based, with a mix of office and flexible working.
