Luma Analytics is seeking an experienced Insights Analyst to join our growing consultancy team in Auckland CBD, Auckland. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with clients across industries, driving data-driven decision-making and delivering actionable insights that inform strategic objectives. As an Insights Analyst, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, leveraging your expertise to solve complex business challenges and showcase the value of data. What you'll be doing Manage data tasks, from cleaning to prepping data for analysis with a good understanding of data structures and data flows. Write efficient, effective and concise code to collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to prepare it for analysis. Conduct thorough data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights. Create business metrics to track strategic outcomes to report performance to senior stakeholders. Create clear and compelling data visualisations to present complex data insights in a user-friendly format, enabling client stakeholders to make informed decisions. Design and create interactive reports and dashboards that summarise findings and support business decisions. Analyse business processes in depth, identifying inefficiencies or areas for improvement. Provide strategic recommendations that help optimise workflows, increase efficiency, and improve overall business performance for clients. Proactively contributes to larger projects by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and precision in all deliverables. Become a trusted adviser to our clients by building strong, long-term relationships, offering expert guidance and strategic insights that align with the client's goals and business needs Engage in proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, business analysts, and other key business stakeholders. What we're looking for 2+ years in a Data Analyst or Insights Analyst role, preferably in a consulting or client-facing capacity. A strong track record of delivering high-impact insights that influence strategic decision-making and align with business objectives. Intermediate skills in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualisation using tools like SQL, Python, Power BI. Proven ability to engage with clients, build trust, and translate their needs into actionable data-driven solutions. Capacity to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
