This role suits a technician with access equipment and/or forklift experience who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working with modern equipment. There are similar opportunities in other locations in NZ including Auckland, Canterbury, and the Bay of Plenty. Your duties will include: General servicing and maintenance of EWPs and forklifts Diagnostic work using the latest equipment Field service repairs and call-outs Preventative maintenance Minor and major repairs Attending breakdowns efficiently and professionally Completing paperwork accurately and on time Liaising directly with clients to ensure high service standards Skills and experience we’re looking for Trade qualification as a mechanic Proven post-apprenticeship experience on access equipment/EWPs and/or LPG forklifts or materials handling equipment Strong diagnostic capability Ability to complete major repairs Experience with construction equipment (advantageous) Confidence working largely unsupervised on a range of equipment Strong customer service focus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Efficient, accurate, and well-organised work habits A team-oriented attitude Working at Heights licence (preferred but not essential) To view further vacancies, visit the job board on our website https://www.automotiveemployment.co.nz/jobs Additional information Top rates, benefits, and training provided Prior experience on forklifts or material handling equipment Join a nationally represented, accredited employer Be careful – Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
