We are a growing modular construction and off‑site manufacturing company delivering high‑quality commercial, education, healthcare, and residential buildings throughout New Zealand. Our modern manufacturing facility combines lean production methods with innovative construction techniques to deliver projects faster, safer, and more efficiently than traditional construction. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead our factory operations and drive excellence across our modular building manufacturing facility. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimising all production activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage daily factory production operations. Develop and maintain production schedules to meet project deadlines. Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices. Monitor production performance, productivity, quality, and cost targets. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Work closely with project managers, design teams, procurement, and logistics teams. Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency. Manage, mentor, and develop production supervisors and factory staff. Oversee quality control processes and ensure compliance with NZ building standards. Support strategic planning and capacity forecasting for future growth. Maintain accurate production reporting and KPI tracking. Skills & Experience Proven experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role. Experience within modular construction, prefabrication, manufacturing, construction, engineering, or related industries. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Demonstrated leadership and team management experience. Excellent planning, scheduling, and organisational skills. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality management systems. Experience with ERP, MRP, or production management software is advantageous. Trade qualification, engineering qualification, or tertiary education in manufacturing, construction, or operations management preferred. What We Offer Competitive salary package.
