Our People Pathway (OPP) is a major programme delivering a new Human Resources Information Management system (Workday) across the University. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who thrives in complex environments and can confidently lead the delivery of a major enterprise transformation project. Te mahi | The role As Project Manager, you will play a key leadership role throughout the delivery of a significant enterprise transformation project, from the current planning phase through implementation and project closure. Working with business stakeholders, SMEs, implementation partners, and programme teams, you will ensure successful delivery while keeping scope, timelines, budgets, and outcomes on track. You will: Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large, complex transformation project, ensuring scope, budget, quality, timelines, and outcomes are achieved. Develop and maintain project plans, governance frameworks, and reporting to support effective decision-making. Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes, proactively addressing challenges and removing delivery roadblocks. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, implementation partners, and project teams to drive successful outcomes. Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment and delivery of project objectives. Ensure delivery aligns with agreed methodologies, governance requirements, and organisational standards. Proven experience delivering large, complex business or technology transformation projects. Experience with Workday, ERP, or enterprise SaaS implementations is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile, or hybrid delivery approaches. Excellent planning and organisational skills, with experience managing budgets, risks, dependencies, and competing priorities. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence at all levels. Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in complex environments. A proactive, collaborative approach with a strong focus on delivering successful outcomes. This is a two-year fixed-term, full-time position (37.5 hours per week), located in Ōtepoti, Dunedin. Fully remote roles will not be considered. The appointment range for this role is $107,320 to $124,348 per annum. You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this position.
