About the Role We are on the lookout for a key member of the risk team who is passionate about delivering the best outcomes for the bank’s stakeholders, people, and customers through the prudent management of the bank’s risk. The Risk Analyst is a generalist role within the Risk Division, providing analytical, reporting, and operational support across the risk function. The role contributes to the effective operation of the Risk Division by supporting risk measurement, monitoring, reporting, governance, and administration. The role is expected to be involved in all aspects of risk management in the bank, with an initial skew in responsibilities towards the credit portfolio. Overall, the position provides broad exposure to banking risk management and plays an important role in supporting prudent risk management, informed decision-making, and compliance with regulatory expectations. Key Responsibilities: Support the ongoing monitoring of the Bank's credit risk profile. Assist in the preparation of portfolio monitoring and regulatory reports and credit risk dashboards. Prepare portfolio analysis covering asset quality, arrears, impaired assets, concentrations and lending trends. Assist with credit portfolio analysis, reviews and stress testing. Support annual credit reviews and portfolio reporting. Credit Provisioning Support the preparation of Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations in accordance with IFRS 9. Prepare data, analysis and supporting documentation for collective and individually assessed provisions. Assist with scenario analysis, macroeconomic overlays and sensitivity analysis. Support the month-end and financial reporting cycles in respect to credit provisioning. Assist with external audit requests relating to credit provisioning. Market and Liquidity Risk Support Support the market risk team with the preparation of the regular market and liquidity risk reports, and the ongoing oversight activities Assist with stress testing and scenario analysis. Support regulatory reporting relating to market and liquidity risk. Operational and Enterprise Risk Support Assist with maintaining the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Support operational risk reporting, incident management and issue tracking. Maintain operational risk registers and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). Support Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs). Monitor remediation actions arising from risk events and assurance reviews. Analyse risk data to identify trends, emerging risks and potential issues. Develop dashboards and management information using available reporting tools. Perform statistical and trend analysis to support risk decision-making. Support the development and automation of risk reporting. Assist with portfolio modelling, scenario analysis and ad hoc analytical projects. Regulatory and Management Reporting Prepare regular reports for Management, Board Committees and the Board. Support preparation of prudential and regulatory reporting. Assist with responses to regulatory requests and supervisory reviews. Ensure reporting is accurate, timely and supported by appropriate documentation. Coordinate data collection across business units where required. Governance and Administration Coordinate Risk Committee meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking. Maintain risk policies, procedures and framework documentation. Maintain registers relating to risk issues, policy reviews and governance actions. Assist with document management and version control. Support the annual review of risk policies and frameworks. Projects and Continuous Improvement Support implementation of new regulatory requirements and risk initiatives. Assist with enhancements to risk systems, reporting and data quality. Participate in cross-functional projects representing the Risk Division. Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and analytical capability. Support testing and implementation of new risk management tools. Stakeholder Support Work collaboratively with Credit, Finance, Treasury, Compliance, Internal Audit and Business teams. Respond to information requests from regulators, auditors and senior management. Provide analytical support across the Risk Division as priorities change. Contribute to a collaborative and customer-focused Risk function. Key Accountabilities: Accurate and timely risk reporting. High-quality risk analytics supporting informed decision-making. Effective support of credit provisioning and portfolio analysis. Reliable preparation of regulatory and management reports. Timely administration of governance processes. Maintenance of risk data, registers and documentation. Delivery of assigned projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline. 3+ years of experience in banking, finance, risk management, accounting, or audit. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets. Excellent written communication and report-preparation skills. Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail. What Will Make You Stand Out Experience with IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) methodologies. Knowledge of banking products and risk management practices. Experience preparing regulatory or Board reporting. Exposure to market, liquidity or operational risk management. Experience using business intelligence or data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI). Knowledge of SQL or other analytical tools.
