Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners – Wellington Central, North Island The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners is a membership organisation and a medical college that provides post-graduate training for doctors wanting to specialise in general practice and rural hospital medicine. Our 80+ operational staff support our 6,000 members with an aim to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequities. About the role Reporting to the Digital Transformation Manager, the Technical Delivery Specialist is responsible for coordinating the delivery of digital initiatives across the College. You'll play a key role in planning work, managing priorities, facilitating agile delivery practices, and ensuring teams have the information and support they need to deliver successfully. Working closely with engineers, platform specialists, vendors, and stakeholders, you'll maintain visibility across multiple workstreams, manage risks and dependencies, and help translate strategic priorities into achievable delivery outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity and keeping projects moving in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. What you will do Lead the delivery of complex technology initiatives, working closely with engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders to translate strategy into scalable, fit-for-purpose solutions Drive technical discovery, solution design, and delivery planning, ensuring requirements, architecture, integrations, data flows, and dependencies are understood before work begins Act as the bridge between business and technology, helping stakeholders understand technical trade-offs, delivery constraints, and opportunities for innovation Establish and continuously improve delivery practices, governance, and ways of working that enable teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions with confidence Collaborate closely with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to support successful project delivery Identify opportunities to improve delivery practices through process improvements, automation, and AI-enabled tools. What you will bring Strong technical experience, ability to understand the technical limitation and balancing that with business outcome Experience in a Product, Delivery Manager, or similar technical delivery role Strong facilitation, planning, and stakeholder management skills Experience managing backlogs, priorities, and delivery planning within an agile environment Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar delivery and project management tools Technical literacy and the ability to work effectively with engineering and digital teams A proactive approach to problem solving, continuous improvement, and the use of AI-enabled tools to enhance delivery outcomes.
