People and Culture Manager - Full Time (Please note that you must already have valid work rightsin New Zealand to be considered for this role) We are looking for afull time People and Culture Manager to join our People and Culture team atCordis, Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced andself-driven People and Culture leader who is passionate about supportingpeople, shaping positive colleague experiences and developing others. Workingwithin New Zealand’s largest hotel, you will have the opportunity to influencethe colleague experience at scale, support a purpose-driven culture for morethan 450 colleagues and continue building your own capability alongsideexperienced, best-in-class leaders in a complex and fast-paced hospitalityenvironment. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, you will join ateam of six and play a key role in supporting Department Heads and Managersacross all areas of People and Culture. This role is not for the faint hearted.It is for a leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and work side by side with the team and wider hotel when and where needed. You will bring soundknowledge across employment relations, recruitment, performance, policy,compliance, wellbeing and colleague engagement, while also contributing tobroader portfolio areas within the team including sustainability, learning anddevelopment and payroll. A good sense of humour is a must, and having a laugh with the team torelease pressure should come naturally. What you’ll be doing Supporting the day-to-day operations of thePeople and Culture department and deputising for the Director of People andCulture when required Providing trusted People and Culture advice andsupport to Department Heads, Managers and colleagues across the hotel Supporting recruitment, retention and workforceplanning to meet business and colleague experience needs Managing colleague complaints, performancematters, disciplinary processes and employment relations matters withprocedural fairness Supporting collective agreement interpretation,union interactions and employment-related matters where required Developing, reviewing and communicating Peopleand Culture policies, procedures and systems to support consistent practice Coordinating key People and Culture reporting,including turnover, starters and leavers, exit insights, recruitment activityand sustainability progress Contributing to departmental budgeting, jobdescriptions, salary grades and benefit information in line with business needs Championing colleague engagement, recognition,wellbeing activities and My Colleague Survey action plans Supporting sustainability activity for thehotel, including EarthCheck coordination and related reporting, with theopportunity to lead this portfolio Supporting learning and development, Performanceappraisal tracking and team capability building Mentoring and coaching the wider People andCulture team while maintaining strong relationships, confidentiality andprofessional standards What we’re looking for To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience in a People and Culture,Human Resources or similar role at manager or senior advisory level Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation,employment relations principles and People and Culture best practice Experience advising managers on performance,complaints, disciplinary matters and procedural fairness A self-driven leadership style with a genuinedesire to share knowledge and support the development of others A hands-on approach and willingness to roll upyour sleeves and support the team and wider hotel when needed A proactive approach with confidence to takeinitiative, lead priorities and follow through on commitments The ability to build trusted relationships withDepartment Heads, Managers, colleagues and external partners Confident communication skills, both written andverbal, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally A high level of personal and professionalintegrity, sound judgement and commitment to confidentiality Strong organisational skills, attention todetail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, reports and deadlines Passion for sustainability, or the drive tofurther develop in this area and take leadership of sustainability initiatives A positive sense of humour and the ability tobring perspective, warmth and a laugh to busy moments As part of Cordis Auckland and Langham Hospitality Group,you will enjoy: Discountson dining and accommodation Freenights at our overseas hotels Staffmeals provided Asupportive team environment Opportunitiesto grow your career within Langham Hospitality Group #J-18808-Ljbffr
