About the Role As a Registered Nurse in our Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) team, you will support rangatahi, adults and whānau during a critical stage of their mental health journey. You will provide assessment, care coordination, treatment support and practical recovery-focused care in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will: Complete comprehensive mental health assessments, ongoing monitoring and risk assessments. Coordinate care and manage a caseload in partnership with whānau. Develop, review and update care plans, safety plans and relapse-prevention plans. Provide psychoeducation about psychosis, recovery, wellbeing and medication. Support medication management and physical health monitoring as required. Respond to crisis situations using calm, skilled and whānau-centred practice. Liaise with primary care, specialist services, education providers, employers and community agencies. Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborative formulation and service development. Support whaiora to reconnect with education, employment, cultural identity and community participation. About You You are a Registered Nurse committed to delivering clinically excellent, recovery-focused and culturally responsive mental health care. Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand. Current Annual Practising Certificate. Legal right to work in New Zealand. Full New Zealand driver licence. Experience working in mental health and addiction services. Strong assessment, risk management and care coordination skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication, engagement and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and evidence-informed practice. Demonstrated ability, or a genuine commitment to developing the capability, to work in alignment with a kaupapa Māori approach, including supporting the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equitable health outcomes for whānau. It Would Be an Advantage If You Also Have Experience supporting people experiencing psychosis or severe mental health difficulties. Knowledge of early intervention, recovery-focused and trauma-informed practice. Understanding of kaupapa Māori models of care and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Competency in te reo Māori and tikanga Māori, or a willingness to continue learning. Experience working alongside whānau and community-based supports.
