Flooring Installer - Vinyl / Floor Prep

You will work on a critical infrastructure/essential service project in the Christchurch and Canterbury region. Your skills and experience must include floor preparation and installation of sheet vinyl, vinyl planks and wall vinyl and ideally include laying carpet tiles. In the case of a hospital project, your sheet vinyl skills must be to hospital standards. In the case of a supermarket, your skills must include installation of vinyl tiles. Key responsibilities Check customers' requirements Ensure that all required materials and equipment is on site Measure and prepare areas to be covered Preparation includes ramping, patching, sanding, waterproofing, grinding, floor shaping and levelling Measure, cut, apply and secure floor coverings including vinyl, vinyl tiles, carpet and wooden floors Mix and apply resin flooring Repair damaged floor coverings About you National Certificate in Flooring or equivalent or a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience as a flooring installer Reliable, physically fit and well presented Committed to health and safety Willing to undergo a drug test prior to commencing work and willing to undergo random drug and alcohol testing at all times Police vetted - willing to undergo a Criminal Conviction History Check New Zealand resident or citizen About us Hills Commercial Floors is the leading independent commercial flooring business in New Zealand.
