Automatic Drafting Drafting Gate installer and Support Specialist This role is responsible for coordinating the installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of Easy Dairy Drafting gates on farms across the Waikato and throughout New Zealand. You will work closely with farmers, regional engineering teams, and the Herd Automation team to ensure each installation is completed correctly and customers receive high-quality support. The role may also involve assisting with sales conversations, product demonstrations, and identifying opportunities for additional products or services where appropriate. Key responsibilities Coordinate with regional engineering teams during the installation of Easy Dairy gates on customer farms. Conduct site assessments before installation to check suitability, layout, and compatibility with existing farm infrastructure. Ensure installations are completed to the required standard and are fully functional. Train farm staff on the correct operation and basic maintenance of the gates. Provide technical support to customers both remotely and on-site. Troubleshoot and resolve operational or technical issues with Easy Dairy Drafting gates. Deliver prompt, professional, and practical customer support. Carry out preventative servicing before key on-farm periods when gate use is critical. Assist with sales activities when required, including product demonstrations and customer discussions. Keep accurate records of installations, service calls, customer issues, and sales-related activities. About you Experience with mechanical, electrical, technical installations, agricultural machinery, or farm equipment. Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach. The ability to work independently and manage jobs across different farm locations. Confidence working in dairy farm environments and using tools and equipment. A full driver's licence. The confident ability to tow a trailer. A reliable, practical, and detail-oriented approach.
