Come and be part of the story. The Role & Location We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Senior Manager to join our team at Dunedin Airport. In this key role, you’ll lead and inspire a dedicated team, ensuring every guest has an unforgettable dining experience across our unique brands. You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations, maintain high service standards, and support staff development in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The position available is a permanent, full-time role – with a minimum of 35 hours per week on offer. The business is operational Monday – Sunday, so weekend work will be required, along with early starts to suit flight schedules. A Day in the Life: Lead the day-to-day operations of our busy café venues, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction. Motivate and inspire your team, driving performance through leading by example. Develop and deliver staff training sessions focused on exceptional guest engagement and product knowledge. Manage stock, including purchasing, pricing, and inventory control. Maintain financial and transactional records to ensure the venue runs efficiently. Ensure compliance with all safety and company policies, including WHS and liquor license regulations. Collaborate with the Head Chef to deliver food and beverages that wow our guests. Hire, train, and manage Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams. Engage with guests, and gather feedback to continuously improve their airport dining experience. What We’re Looking For: At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role (preferred). Strong leadership skills: you’ll be able to motivate, guide, and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication: you can connect with people at all levels, from staff to guests. A passion for customer service: your goal is always to exceed guest expectations. Financial acumen: Able to understand food & beverage reports, maintain and audit weekly spending and have a good understanding of expenses and budgets in line with day to day operations. Problem-solving ability: you’ll think on your feet and tackle challenges head-on. Creativity: experience in menu planning and collaborating with chefs to deliver innovative offerings. Strong organisational skills: managing inventory, costs, and staff schedules is second nature to you. Flexibility and adaptability: in a fast-paced environment, no two days are the same. Knowledge of industry regulations and health & safety standards. A hands-on approach: you’ll pitch in wherever needed to ensure everything runs smoothly.
