The Meadowlands Sport and Recreation Charitable Trust – Howick, North Island Join our team at the Sports & Recreation Facility! Are you passionate about hospitality and enjoy creating a welcoming environment? We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and reliable Bar Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our club bar. About the Role As our Bar Manager, you'll ensure the bar operates efficiently, remains clean, well-stocked, and ready to provide excellent service for members and guests. You'll work closely with the Club Administrator and report to the Trustees. What You'll Be Doing Managing the bar's opening hours in consultation with the Club Administrator. Overseeing stock control and ordering. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements. Operating the till and completing end-of-day procedures. Assisting with tournaments, club events, and special functions. Providing friendly, professional customer service. What We're Looking For A current Bar Manager's Certificate (essential/or prepared to qualify for this Certificate). Previous bar or hospitality experience. Confidence using a till and completing cash-up procedures. A current First Aid Certificate is an advantage (not essential). Someone who is reliable, organised, and enjoys working with people. Hours Regular Hours Weeknights: 6:30 pm–10:30 pm (varies approx. 2-3 nights) Saturdays: Approximately 3:00 pm–7:00 pm (hours may vary depending on tournaments) Additional hours will be required for: Interclub fixtures Club tournaments Special events and functions Occasional Sundays Flexibility is essential, as hours will vary according to the club's event calendar.
