This is a rewarding opportunity to join a residential youth service supporting rangatahi with high and complex needs. As a Wakeover Support Worker , you will play an important role in creating a safe, calm, and supportive overnight environment. You'll complete regular wellbeing checks, support healthy sleep routines, and ensure the service remains welcoming and homely throughout the night. Your responsibilities will also include: Maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Completing documentation and administration tasks. Supporting medication processes as required. Maintaining hygiene and household standards within the service. This is a permanent part-time position (16 hours per week) working overnight shifts between 10:30pm and 7:00am , Monday to Sunday. We're looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people to thrive. You will bring: Experience working with youth, ideally within the mental health, addiction, disability, or social services sector. A Level 4 qualification in Mental Health and Addiction (desirable). The ability to work independently and confidently overnight. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Flexibility to work rostered overnight shifts between 10:30pm and 7:00am. A full New Zealand driver's licence. Full working rights in New Zealand. A current First Aid Certificate including CPR, or a willingness and ability to obtain one.
