Convergence Partners – Auckland airport, North Island Be the primary motorcycle technical authority Work directly with international factories around the world National Service Manager Large national dealer network Be the primary motorcycle technical authority Work directly with international factories around the world A leading motorcycle importer/distributor is seeking an experienced National Service Manager to join their New Zealand team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role sitting at the heart of a large national dealer network, spanning technical support, regulatory compliance, and dealer training. You'll be the primary motorcycle technical authority, working directly with international factories around the world, and ensuring the dealer network upholds the highest standards of service and NZTA compliance. What will you be doing? Provide expert technical support to dealers and end users Own NZTA compliance, Statement of Compliance (SOC) documentation, Homologation, and annual dealer audits Manage recalls, service bulletins, product updates and technical reports Deliver electrical and technical training to the dealer network Manage the service tool library and ensure specialist tooling availability Support the warranty coordinator with technical guidance and prior approvals Liaise with factories globally to maintain accurate technical information Develop and maintain the intranet content Carry out Initial Delivery List (IDL) for new models About you You're technically strong, with deep technical motorcycle knowledge and ideally some exposure to automotive workshop management. You'll have excellent electrical diagnostic ability, with an appetite for compliance, and your ability to build relationships across a dealer network. Experience required 5+ years in a motorcycle technical role, or automotive and the passion for motorcycles Trade Certificate or equivalent, however strong hands-on experience will be considered Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills (critical for this role) Knowledge of NZTA compliance requirements or equivalent regulatory frameworks Experience in automotive workshop environments is a real advantage Workshop management or technical leadership experience desirable Confident communicator with relationship-building strengths Solid MS Office skills, comfortable with data entry and technical documentation Able to travel at short notice If you're a motorcycle professional ready to step into a national role combining technical expertise, compliance leadership and dealer support, we'd love to hear from you.
