Viniquip is looking for a practical Maintenance Engineer to join our Christchurch‑based team, supporting food and beverage processing and packaging equipment across New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. You’ll work across installation, servicing, commissioning, preventative maintenance and breakdown support, with direct access to manufacturer knowledge and a team that values practical engineering experience. The Role Install, commission and service food and beverage processing and packaging equipment Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out practical repairs and adjustments Complete preventative maintenance, inspections and breakdown support Support customers on‑site and remotely with clear, practical technical advice Work with overseas manufacturers for technical support, parts information and training Travel for customer work throughout New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific About You Maintenance engineering, mechanical fitting, service technician or industrial machinery experience Strong practical fault‑finding skills and confidence working around machinery Able to work independently, manage customer sites and follow jobs through to a high standard Good communicator who can explain technical issues clearly to customers and teammates Curious, practical and keen to keep learning specialist machinery Full New Zealand driver's licence Willing and able to travel as part of the role What Makes This a Good Move More variety than a typical single‑site maintenance role Hands‑on work across installs, servicing, commissioning, troubleshooting and customer support Quality machinery from respected international processing and packaging equipment brands Manufacturer training and support to build specialist technical knowledge Small, practical team where your experience, judgement and ideas matter A role with customer contact, travel and room to grow your capability Why Christchurch?
