Temporary Engineer/Welder Join a well-established local Ashburton company! We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Temporary Engineer/Welder to join a busy irrigation company based in Ashburton. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, working Monday to Friday. Our client is a well-established business proudly servicing the wider Mid Canterbury region. They specialise in irrigation systems, TurboRain equipment, pumps, and a wide range of engineering and installation services for the agricultural sector. About the Role This is a hand-on, workshop-based position where no two days are the same. You’ll be working on a variety of engineering and fabrication projects, including welding irrigation pipes, building machinery, and carrying out general workshop duties. You’ll play an important role in ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Your day-to-day duties will include: Welding and fabricating irrigation pipes and components General engineering and workshop duties Building and assembling machinery and equipment Labouring and assisting with a variety of engineering projects Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment What We’re Looking For Previous engineering and welding experience Good general fabrication and workshop skills Ability to read and follow instructions Physically fit and happy with hand-on work Reliable, hardworking, and motivated Able to work well independently and as part of a team What’s on Offer Full-time temporary position Monday to Friday - no weekend work Great team environment Work for a respected local Ashburton business Competitive hourly rate based on experience Immediate start available If you’re an experienced welder/engineer looking for your next opportunity with a great local company, we’d love to hear from you.
