About the Role As an Inpatient Physiotherapist, you will provide high - quality assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients across acute surgical and orthopaedic wards. These wards cover trauma and elective orthopaedics, general surgical plus vascular over a broad age range. Managing a varied caseload, you will use your clinical expertise and critical thinking skills to develop individualised treatment plans, support patient recovery, and help people achieve their functional goals and return home safely. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic inpatient environment where no two days are the same. You will collaborate closely with patients, whānau, and multidisciplinary teams, contribute to discharge planning, participate in the weekend acute physiotherapy service, and play an important role in delivering safe, effective, and patient - centred care. For more information on living and working in Hawkes Bay clickHERE About you As an Inpatient Physiotherapist, you will bring: A Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate. At least 2-5 years of clinical physiotherapy experience, preferably within an inpatient or acute setting. Strong assessment, communication, and clinical reasoning skills. The ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to ongoing professional development and delivering high - quality, patient - centred care. Membership of the Physiotherapy New Zealand professional body. Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and experience working effectively with Māori patients and whānau.
