Te mahi tūranga | About the role We are seeking a resolute and compassionate Social Worker to join our dynamic team. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals and whanau navigate and manage the emotional and social impacts of mental health and/or addictions, providing support, advocacy, and resources to improve their overall well-being. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their needs and develop individualized support plans. Monitor and evaluate clients' progress and adjust support plans as needed. Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the necessary services and support. Connect clients with appropriate community resources, including healthcare services, housing assistance, employment opportunities, and budgeting and legal aid supports. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies. Collaborate with whanau, healthcare professionals, and other support networks to ensure a holistic and person-centered approach to care. Stay current with developments in the field of social work through continuous education and training. Ngā pūkenga, ngā tohu ōu - What you will need Full and Valid NZ Drivers License Bachelor's of Social Work from an accredited provider Cultural Competence Profound passion and enthusiasm to uplift and empower people Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to working with diverse populations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Effective Time Management Skills Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
