As our Auckland operations continue to expand, we're looking for an experienced Geophysicist to join our growing geophysics team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside some of New Zealand's leading geotechnical and geophysical specialists while delivering innovative ground investigation solutions. If you're passionate about understanding the ground, solving complex technical challenges, and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients, we'd love to hear from you. In this role you will: Lead and deliver complex geophysical investigations across New Zealand and the Pacific. Design, plan and undertake a wide range of near-surface geophysical surveys. Acquire, process and interpret geophysical datasets, integrating results with geological and geotechnical information to provide meaningful engineering insights. Work across multiple geophysical techniques including: MASW, Seismic Refraction Tomography(SRT), Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT), Microtremor Arrays, HVSR, Downhole Seismic, Seismic CPT surveys, Wireline logging and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Prepare geophysical data, interpretations, and reporting outputs to maintain technical excellence and quality standards. Collaborate with RDCL's wider New Zealand and Philippines teams to share knowledge and improve technical capability. Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor. Support innovation and continuous improvement across our geophysical service offerings. Assist with equipment maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting both in the field and workshop. To be successful for this role you’ll need: A degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Engineering Geology, Physics or related discipline. Experience delivering engineering geophysics investigations and interpreting complex geophysical datasets. Understanding of several geophysical methods, such as seismic, resistivity, wireline and GPR. Experience using industry-standard processing and interpretation software, including Oasis Montaj, Surfer, ArcGIS, AutoCAD and other geophysical modelling platforms. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven technical reporting and communication abilities. Practical skills in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. (Electronics and soldering experience would be highly regarded) A full New Zealand Driver Licence. The ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
