Why this is a great opportunity: Guaranteed 40 hours per week - consistent, reliable income (not casual or weather-dependent) Fully paid private health insurance Full PPE provided About the Role Our Otorohanga team is looking for a motivated Operator/Labourer to join our road maintenance crew. This role will primarily involve operating a roller during the stabilisation season (approximately six months of the year). Outside of the stabilisation season, you will be involved in a variety of road maintenance activities, including general labouring, manual handling, traffic control, and supporting maintenance crews across the network. As part of a road maintenance contract, we operate a wide range of plant and equipment. For candidates who are keen to develop their skills, there will be opportunities to gain experience operating additional machinery and progress within the team. You'll be working alongside an experienced and supportive crew committed to delivering safe, high-quality outcomes for our community. What We're Looking For: Experience operating rollers or other heavy machinery is preferred. A current Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) licence is preferred. A strong commitment to Health & Safety. Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks, including manual labour and traffic control. An understanding of road construction or road maintenance is an advantage. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn to operate additional machinery as opportunities arise.
