Delivery Driver

Location: Taupo, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Minimum 30 hours and maximum 50 hours per week
Pay Rate: NZD $24.00–$27.00 per hour (depending on skills and experience)

About Us

Tamatea Pizza Limited is looking for reliable and motivated Delivery Drivers (3 positions available) to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely delivery of orders.

Key Responsibilities

As a Delivery Driver, your duties will include:

• Delivering customer orders safely, accurately, and on time.
\n
• Checking orders before delivery to ensure all items are correct and complete.
\n
• Collecting and processing cash and electronic payments where required.
\n
• Following assigned delivery routes and schedules efficiently.
\n
• Complying with all New Zealand road rules and traffic regulations.
\n
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and completing required logs.
\n
• Providing excellent customer service and responding professionally to customer enquiries and concerns.
\n
• Informing customers of current promotions where appropriate.
\n
• Handling food safely and maintaining product quality during transportation.
\n
• Following all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
\n
• Reporting any delivery issues, incidents, or vehicle concerns to the Restaurant Owner or Manager.
\n
• Assisting with other reasonable duties as required to support restaurant operations.
\n

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will ideally have:

\n
• Previous experience in a delivery, hospitality, retail, or customer service role (preferred but not essential).
\n
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
\n
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
\n
• A reliable, responsible, and professional attitude.
\n
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays on a rotating roster.
\n
• A valid New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence or a valid overseas driver's licence that is legally recognised for driving in New Zealand.
\n
• The ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and any required background checks.
\n
