General Practitioner (GP)

The Doctors Total Health have an opportunity for an enthusiastic GP to join their friendly and supportive team in the gorgeous Bay of Plenty. We are awell established family general medical practice, in a centrally located purpose-built training practice, with modern and attractive facilities. We have three GP Fellow and a dedicated team of practice nurses. We provide quality individual and family health care, with a focus on the importance of a strong relationship between patient and healthcare provider. Able to support all levels of training and stages of career Ideally have skills in minor surgery. Other areas of special interest welcome Teaching practice. Option of teaching medical students and GP registrars Approachable team, supportive environment. regular clinic events/outings Purpose-built clinic, located 10mins away from Ohope Beach and 5mins from the hospital Based in beautiful Whakatane We have an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate GP to join our team. You will be working with a team of skilled nurses and GP colleagues and an experienced administration team, supported by a dedicated Practice Manager. About the position and you: You will bring to the role: Sound clinical and service skills enabling you to fully utilize your experience Ability to provide healthcare to a full range of people in our community Hold Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand Be legally eligible to work in New Zealand This is a permanent position with negotiable hours, preferable 24- 32 hours (6-8 sessions) per week. We are happy to consider overseas candidates wishing to relocate to New Zealand and can provide support with gaining New Zealand registration if you are eligible.
