As a NZX-listed company experiencing continued growth, we're expanding our workshop team and are looking for three skilled Automotive Mechanics to join our busy Compliance Centre. About the Role As an Automotive Mechanic, you will play a key role in ensuring our vehicles meet both company and regulatory standards. You will perform mechanical repairs, diagnostics, servicing, and inspections while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and efficiency. Duties will include Completing mechanical repairs and servicing within expected timeframes. Diagnosing vehicle faults accurately and efficiently. Performing routine servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups. Repairing and replacing worn or defective mechanical components. Dismantling and reassembling engines, transmissions, steering systems, and other mechanical components. Conducting road tests to confirm repairs and ensure faults have been rectified. Completing all job sheets and workshop documentation accurately through the Ricoh system. Recording all parts and labour used on each repair. Meeting daily productivity KPIs while maintaining high-quality workmanship with minimal rework. Maintaining a clean and safe workshop and following all Health & Safety policies and procedures. Reporting any damage to vehicles, equipment or premises immediately. Using workshop equipment, tools and PPE safely and responsibly. Assisting with other workshop duties as required. To be successful in this position, our ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as an Automotive Mechanic. Strong mechanical diagnostic and repair skills. The ability to produce high-quality work with excellent attention to detail. Good organisational and time management skills. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment. A professional attitude with a positive and reliable work ethic. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A commitment to workplace health and safety. A current full or restricted New Zealand driver's licence. NZ residency or a valid New Zealand work visa. Hours of Work 45 hours per week (30 hours guaranteed), from Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm. An employee may be required to work on weekend and up to 52 hours per week.
