Leading a team of specialists, ourRates Team Leader will work collaboratively across the organisation tofacilitate the best rating outcomes that create value for ratepayers andcommunities. This varied role has both a technical and people leadership focus,but effective relationship building will be the key to your success. As a senior member of the widerFinance Team, the Rates Team Leader will take the lead in providing subjectmatter expertise related to rates modelling, database maintenance and districtvaluations that is compliant with the Local Government Rating Act 2002. Equallyimportant is championing a supportive, collaborative team culture in whichknowledge sharing & professional development are promoted. Our ideal candidate will be arates/revenue specialist with experience working in local government and athorough working knowledge of relevant legislation. You’ll have exceptionalinterpersonal skills that will enable you to establish positive workingpartnerships at all levels of Council and with external stakeholders. You’llneed to be flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities. This could be the perfectopportunity for a senior rating professional to take the next step in theircareer! Confidence using rating, property and debt management systems will beessential – Technology One &/or IBIS experience would be advantageous.We’re looking for someone who is willing to take ownership of the role and isfocused on continuous improvement.
