(This is a full-time position based on 44 hours per week with a minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week) Senior Flat Roofing Specialist (This is a full-time position based on 44 hours per week with a minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week) Position Summary The Senior Flat Roofing Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality flat roofing installations while overseeing projects from planning through to completion. The role requires extensive technical knowledge across a wide range of roofing systems, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Minimum Requirements At least five years' commercial flat roofing experience. Experience with commercial waterproofing systems. Ability to work at heights. Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience. Key Responsibilities Roofing Installation Install, repair and maintain a variety of flat roofing systems. Carry out work involving: Single Ply Membranes Liquid Applied Membranes Hot Melt Waterproofing Systems Reinforced Bitumen Membranes (RBM) Ensure all roofing work meets manufacturer specifications and industry best practices. Perform electronic roof testing where required. Project & Contract Management Manage roofing projects from initial client consultation through to practical completion and final account settlement. Conduct site inspections and prepare project plans. Lead pre-start meetings and coordinate project scheduling. Prepare and implement RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements). Allocate labour, materials and equipment efficiently. Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines and budgets are achieved. Health & Safety Maintain strict compliance with health and safety legislation. Conduct site safety inspections and toolbox meetings. Ensure all personnel work safely and follow company procedures. Promote a proactive safety culture across all projects. Leadership Supervise roofing teams and subcontractors. Mentor and support apprentices and junior roofers. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers and suppliers. Resolve onsite issues efficiently while maintaining productivity. Client Relations Build and maintain positive relationships with clients. Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates. Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship and professional communication. Key Skills & Experience Experience in commercial and residential flat roofing. Proven experience managing roofing contracts from commencement to completion. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
