About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join ourinterprofessional Integrated Family Health Service (IFHS) team in Greymouth.This role focuses on providing holistic healthcare services to children,adults, and whānau, enhancing health outcomes in rural communities. Workingwithin the primary care setting, you will align your efforts with Health NZ's visionand values to deliver culturally competent, person-centered care. Key Responsibilities ClinicalCare Delivery Provide high-quality care in primary care settingsfor improved patient outcomes. Prioritize the needs of Māori as tangata whenua toachieve equitable health outcomes. Undertake comprehensive, culturally appropriateassessments and care planning. Utilize evidence-based practices for holistichealth management. Interprofessional Collaboration Support the integration of acute, community,mental health, and primary care services. Collaborate with community stakeholders to addressunmet healthcare needs. Promote wellness by empowering whānau throughhealth literacy education. Embrace changes to health strategies and models ofcare with enthusiasm. Enhance personal professional development (e.g.,Registered Nurse Prescribing, mental health training). Identify opportunities to streamline the clientjourney for equitable outcomes. Professional and Ethical Standards Adhere to professional, ethical, and legalstandards in decision-making and conduct. Support a culturally safe environment and upholdthe Treaty of Waitangi principles. Patient and Whānau Advocacy Advocate for patients and address barriers toaccessing health services. Provide education tailored to improve healthliteracy and empower clients/whanau. About the Team/Service/ Location ThePractice Nurse is a highly trained Registered Nurse and recognised member ofthe interprofessional Integrated Family Health Service (IFHS) team located inthe Central Region (Greymouth). This role is responsible for providing a rangeof holistic services across the age continuum within the integrated primarycare setting; enabling excellence in rural health outcomes in alignment with HealthNew Zealand- Te Tai o Poutini's vision and values. About You New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current AnnualPractising Certificate. Commitment to cultural competency training andapplication. Experience as a Practice Nurse, including long-termcondition management. Current certifications in immunization, cervicalsmears, and triage. Postgraduate qualifications in pathophysiology,pharmacology, or other relevant fields. Proficient in Indici and Microsoft Office Suite. Attributes: Passionate about rural health and Māori healthequity. Flexible, collaborative, and self-motivated teamplayer. Resilient under pressure with excellent criticalthinking and communication skills.
