Pool Builder / Construction Labourer

Aquanort Pools is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Pool Builder / Construction Labourer to join our growing team in Blenheim, Marlborough. This is a full-time, fixed contract position based in the heart of Blenheim Central, offering the opportunity to work on exciting pool construction and building projects throughout the region. In this role, you will contribute to the complete lifecycle of pool building, from site preparation through to final finishing, working alongside experienced tradespeople to deliver high-quality results for our valued clients. Key responsibilities Preparing and excavating pool sites, including measuring, marking out and ensuring proper groundwork foundations Assisting in the installation of pool structures, including fibreglass, concrete and other construction materials Assisting qualified builders and tradespeople with the installation of plumbing, electrical and filtration systems Operating and maintaining construction equipment safely and responsibly Transporting and organising materials and equipment on site Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations Assisting with landscaping and finishing works around completed pools Communicating effectively with the team to ensure projects stay on schedule and within specifications What we're looking for Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions A strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a construction team Basic health and safety awareness and willingness to comply with all site safety requirements A valid driver's licence Previous experience in construction, building trades or general labouring (advantageous but not essential) A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills on the job Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients Willing and able to work out of town when required Would also suit someone looking for their first job.
